Luis G. Daglio, 82

| September 22, 2022 12:00 AM

Luis G. Daglio, 82, beloved husband, father, grandpa, uncle and friend, passed away on Aug. 24, 2022. The oldest of five boys, Lu was born in 1939 in New York City and moved to Tucson, Arizona, in his youth. After Salpointe High and later Ojai Catholic prep, he attended Creighton University in Nebraska. In 1962, he joined the Army and served as a “chef.” After the Army, he married his first wife and had three children in California where he worked in the mortgage industry at Imperial Savings and Loan. Later, he remarried Susan in Fallbrook, California, and they began serving in healing and prison ministries. In 2008, he followed his dream to “Big Sky Country,” Kalispell, where they began raising animals (cows, goats, chickens, ducks and rabbits) and enjoyed serving in new prison and healing ministries!

He loved reading his Bible, praying for others, watching Westerns, telling jokes, and worshiping the Lord. Lu was a man of great humor, strong faith in Jesus, love, and always had an uncanny ability to make everybody laugh and smile and was a true cowboy at heart! He was one of the kindest people you will ever meet. He will be remembered adoringly as the best father and husband in the world.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, of Kalispell; brother, George, of Tucson; children, Michael, Katherine and Ann of San Diego; grandkids, Ethan, Jackson, Seth, Jake, Chris, Ashley and Amanda; and many nieces, nephews, great-grandkids and friends.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at St. Matthew’s Church, 602 S. Main St, Kalispell, (reception following). His rosary vigil/remembrance will be Monday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. at St. Matthew’s.

Johnson-Gloschat funeral home is caring for Luis and his family.
