Glacier, Flathead netters sweep Columbia Falls
The Glacier boys tennis team continued their strong start with a 7-0 nonconference dual win over Columbia Falls on Tuesday at FVCC.
Glacier is now 3-0 in duals and got singles wins from Kutuk White, Sam Engellant and Dalyn Mathison. Trey Engellant and Ethan Woods got a doubles win over Columbia Falls’ Will Pickard and Jax Ramage; Calvin Schmidt and Carl Bitney also won at No. 2 doubles.
Glacier’s girls won 5-2, with No. 1 doubles pair Collette Daniels and Katy Bitney leading the way for a sweep.
Columbia Falls’ Cloey Ramage and Lexi Oberholzer were singles winners against Glacier, but fell to Flathead’s Alexis Kersten and Isabella Parrot.
The Bravettes topped Columbia Falls 6-1; Aliyah Arends won for the Wildkats at No. 4 singles.
Quaid Ring defeated Jax Ramage at No. 1 singles to help the Braves to a 4-3 dual win over the Wildcats.
Logan Heupel and doubles pair Silas Ypma and Will Pickard were match winners for Columbia Falls.
Flathead and Glacier face off next on Thursday at 3 p.m.
