Law roundup: Woman not on the market for a friend
A man reportedly left notes on a neighbor’s vehicle stating they had talked before and he wanted to be her friend and would stop by her house. She told Columbia Falls Police Department she wasn’t interested in being friends and was concerned by the notes and drop-ins. Officers spoke with the man who agreed not to speak to her again.
The phone of a man with a history of 911 hangups once again dialed the emergency number. He told dispatch he was remodeling his kitchen and had his phone in his pocket. Dispatch requested he remove the phone from his pocket until he could figure out how to stop it from dialing 911.
A customer allegedly went into a store and gave an employee a cryptic note that stated, “Call me before they get the pickup, I’m running.” The employee promptly returned the woman’s note, keys and money and told her she couldn’t park there and needed to make other arrangements.
An ex-employee was reportedly going onto the property of his former employer and handing out flyers, which made the staff uncomfortable. Officers advised them on providing the individual with a “no trespass” letter.
