Rensel, Moultray lead C-Falls over Stevi
COLUMBIA FALLS — Maddie Moultray threw four no-hit innings, Demye Rensel hit a grand slam and the Columbia Falls Wildkats swamped Stevensville 20-3 in Class A softball Saturday.
Rensel’s slam came in the midst of a 10-run fourth inning that put the game completely out of reach of the Yellowjackets.
The Wildkats (4-2) combined 16 hits and nine walks and ended the game after 4 ½ innings under the mercy rule.
Moultray had three hits, including a double, and on the hill struck out three hitters. Kyrah Trenkle had two hits, drew two walks and scored four times.
Aspen Dawson hit a two-run double during a 9-run second inning and scored three times herself.
