ImagineIF Libraries hosts mending workshop

ImagineIF Libraries, Functional Design, Super Bloom, and Grounded Here have teamed up to host an apparel mending workshop on April 22 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at ImagineIF Libraries in Kalispell.

At this free Earth Day event, learn how to reduce textile waste by mending and repairing gear and clothing. Bring an item that needs to be repaired and work with local professionals to mend it. Participants will get the chance to try darning, patching, and visible mending.

Don’t have a project to work on? Come make a fabric patch to take home, learn mending techniques to use in the future, meet other people that like to fix things, learn about local environmental initiatives, and check out books on DIY mending. Participants will be entered into a drawing for a sewing machine.
