Law roundup: Retired meat processor protective of trade secrets
A Libby man took a trip to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office where he claimed he was the “most experienced meat processor in the northwest,” since retired, and reported that a few years ago a high school friend asked him for information on his smoked meat process. Recently, he allegedly found out the friend was using a similar process and had set up a camera at his house illegally and “caught his trade secrets.” He purportedly believed Comcast was the culprit behind transmitting a Wi-Fi signal to his house illegally and said he was reporting the issue in Flathead County because that’s where the corporation’s headquarters were and that he already reported his concerns in Libby. He added that his computers and phone had been hacked, so he shut his phone off.
A woman’s very drunk husband reportedly dumped a beer all over her in Columbia Falls and she at first refused to separate from him because she was worried he would pop the tires on their vehicle again. She didn’t have much of a choice, however, when he drove away in the truck.

Alleged Bigfork squatters who were being evicted in a few days returned to a residence and were reportedly slamming all the doors and accusing someone of going into their room and moving items. The person told deputies the squatters used their dogs to threaten them in the past.
