Polson’s Fisher, Eureka’s Butts throw gems; Mission rallies
POLSON — Polson pitcher Espn Fisher scattered four hits in seven innings of work, and drove in a run as the Pirates held off Columbia Falls 3-2 Friday in high school baseball.
Dawson DuMont had two hits and drove in a run for the Pirates, and it was important: Polson saw Columbia Falls’ Cody Schweikert rap a two-run double in the seventh, cutting the gap to one.
Fisher closed it out: He struck out 11 with no walks.
Kellen Kroger and Talon Murphy threw three innings each for Columbia Falls, each allowing one earned run and striking out two.

ST. IGNATIUS — The bottom of Mission’s batting order came up big Friday, with Milo Crooks and Sheldon McLeod combining for six runs in the Bulldogs’ 13-12 baseball win over Troy.
McLeod and Crooks each had three hits — Crooks hit three doubles — and an RBI for Mission, which piled up 12 hits and nine walks. The Bulldogs pushed across two runs in the sixth to overtake the Trojans.
Troy, which had been no-hit by Eureka a day earlier, jumped out to an 8-2 lead. Brody Kelso had three RBIs for the Trojans.

EUREKA — Eureka’s Tristan Butts threw a 6-inning no-hitter, striking out 12, and the Lions beat Troy 15-1 Thursday.
AJ Truman and Caleb utter each head three hits, including a double, and Truman scored three runs for the Lions. Col Hurst, Butts, Tyson Brouillete and Rogan Lytle all scored two runs.
Butts needed just 79 piches to work six innings. He walked two.
