Jeff Lillard and Kai Johnson won two events each, and Glacier swept Missoula Sentinel in a track and field dual held Thursday at the Wolfpack’s home track.

Lillard won the 200 meters in 22.53 seconds — a personal record and unofficially the second-best time in Class AA — and soared 42 feet, 9.5 inches to take the second-ever triple jump competition the senior has entered. He’s suddenly third in AA in that event.

While the Wolfpack beat the Sentinel boys 86.5-58.5, Lillard also tore through the 100-meter dash in 10.99 seconds. Spartan speedster Hudson Lembke won in 10.93, matching the season-best time run by Helena Capital’s Thomas Carter. But Lillard is officially the third runner to break 11 seconds in the race this year.

Johnson continued her consistent improvement in the shot put, marking 39-9 for PR and extending the best mark in AA by three inches. Only Frenchtown’s Sadie Smith (40-2.5) has thrown farther.

Johnson hit another PR in the discus, winning with 113-9; that’s a 22-foot improvement from her first throw this year and fourth-best in AA.

The Wolfpack girls won or tied for the win in 10 events. Karys Camp shared the pole vault title (9-0) with three Spartans, and also won the long jump.

Noah Fincher unofficially climbed into the top 10 in the AA 200 rankings, winning in 27.08. Bailey Gable won her signature event, the 300 hurdles, in 49.64, a shade slower than the 48.47 she ran Tuesday in Missoula.

On the boys’ side, Ethan Anderson zipped through the high hurdles in 14.81 seconds, a PR by .39; then teammate Evan Barnes won the 300 hurdles in 41.14, a PR by .79.

Barnes ran another quick 110 hurdles, finishing second to Anderson in 15.04.

Glacier also put together its fastest 1,600-meter relay of the season, winning in 3:28.20, which meets the State qualifying mark and sits third in AA.

Sentinel’s Danny Sirmon won a discus dual with Glacier’s Aiden Krause, throwing 159-6 to 158-6 for Krause. Those marks now rank 2-3 in AA, behind CMR’s Anthony Okes (165-4.5).

Henry Sellards (50-5), Ben Winters and Krause put together a Wolfpack sweep in the shot put, and Glacier’s Carter Lapke pushed into the top six in AA in the javelin, winning with a throw of 161-5.

Duals are scored (5-3-1) to three places; relays scored five for the winner. Results are below; deeper lists can be found at athletic.net.
