True tax relief

A credit here, a rebate there, all to give short-term tax rebates and relief.

Couples get this much, individual get that much — smoke and mirrors cover some more as an explanation of how much the government is doing to help us for a couple years.

Why not keep it simple and give long-term tax relief? Payoff all those school bonds, sewer bonds, fire department and other essential services funding that we want that government doesn’t fund. It makes up a major part of our tax bill. Use the billions there or is that too simple off a solution to true tax relief?
