Mason Dinesen had two hits and scored two big runs, and Glacier made a 3-0 lead hold up for a 3-2 Pioneer League win over the Missoula PaddleHeads Tuesday, at Glacier Bank Park.

Jonathan Clark pitched into the eighth inning to improve to 4-2 for the Range Riders (13-18 this half); he allowed just one hit and four walks in 7 2-3 innings.

Jackson Raper’s RBI double got the home team out to a 1-0 lead on the North Division-leading PaddleHeads (22-9) in the second inning.

Dinesen made it 2-0 in the third inning, scoring on a wild pitch after he singled, took second on a balk and went to third on Gabe Howell’s groundout.

In the fifth Dinesen hit another leadoff single, moved to second on Colin Gordon’s grounder, stole his 19th base of the season and scored on Howell’s sacrifice fly.

Things got interesting in the eighth when McClain O’Connor hit a two out triple off Clark, and then Dondrei Hubbard hit a single off reliever Montana Quigley. Hubbard then stole second and scoffed on Josh Elvir’s single to cut the gap to 3-2.

Quigley got out of that inning and Justin Coleman took over in the ninth. He worked around a hit batter and a walk to record his eighth save.

The teams continue this six-game series Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.
