Law Roundup: Classic car pulled out of Swan River
A restored classic car was pulled out of the Swan River. The owner allegedly called the Kalispell Police Department to report the car stolen, saying the vehicle had broken down at the location Saturday night and he was waiting for it to be towed. Alas, someone spotted a part of the exposed roof in the water Sunday morning and thought it went off a boat launch.
A man called law enforcement alleging a neighbor was harassing his daughter, who was also the landlord because they were angry that she played the drums. When he was advised his adult daughter needed to report the harassment he noted that he was also being harassed. Adding to his list of complaints, he said he was upset with the “liberal feminist judge” who granted the neighbor a restraining order against him.
A woman walking down an alley with two children approached a fence where dogs were barking aggressively behind a fence. She reportedly “zapped” her Taser toward the dogs as a “scare tactic” to get them to back away from the fence, which she didn’t think was sturdy. The resident came out and began yelling and swearing at her to stop harassing the dogs, telling officers she walks through the alley daily and “zaps her Taser at all the neighborhood dogs to rile them up.”
Officers responded to the scene where a man was allegedly swinging around what looked like a black cart or a wheelbarrow while taunting drivers at a highway traffic light.
An extra large black and orange jacket with “Harley Davidson” written on it was reported stolen from a parked vehicle. The owner said it was valued at $350.
A man reportedly asked a resident to access their yard to look for a green box and said he was with a communications company although there weren’t any visible company logos on his clothing or vehicle. Officers spoke with a man who said he was subcontracted through the company to check for service boxes and the company gave them a list of addresses to visit, but left when asked.
A 22-year-old allegedly screamed, yelled and threw dishes in his mother’s house. Officers encouraged her to contact the sheriff’s office during business hours to evict her problem child.
