COLUMBIA FALLS — Six different players scored Tuesday to help the Columbia Falls Wildkats top Frenchtown 10-0 in a mercy-rule shortened Northwest A girls soccer game.

Freshmen Riley Byrd and Tatiana Raymond both scored the first goals of their varsity career. Byrd scored twice, once in the 26th minute and then in the 38th minute to end the game. Mila Johns added two goals.

Senior Hope McAtee had three helpers for the 3-0 Wildkats.

“Awesome to see six different goal scorers in the game,” Wildkats coach Thomas Clark said. “To be able to see some offensive balance and see some freshmen score today was really cool.”

The Wildkats’ Saturday game against Corvallis has been canceled and will be rescheduled.

COLUMBIA FALLS — Max Everett scored four goals and Kai Golan had a hat trick for the Columbia Falls Wildcats in a 10-0 win over the Frenchtown Broncs in Northwest A soccer on Tuesday.

Golan scored three goals in 10 minutes to complete a hat trick before the first half ended. Everett scored the game’s first goal and added three more in the second half. River Wolford scored two goals and had one assist.

The Wildcats are off to a 3-0 start this fall.

“One of our goals this year is to keep that undefeated streak, stand on the shoulders of last season,” Wildcats coach O’Brien Byrd said. “This team is gonna sneak in there and we’re gonna turn a lot of heads. People aren’t going to think much of us because we graduated 90 percent of our starters. We’re continuing to improve and people aren’t going to have to worry about Finley Sundberg and Kai Golan, they’re going to have to worry about five or six other guys.”

Columbia Falls plays host to Corvallis at noon on Saturday.
