Law Roundup: Cantankerous man's reputation precedes him
A man purportedly known for his bad temper was scheduled to visit an office that contacted Kalispell Police Department for an officer to stand by, saying he was not allowed to be on-site without an officer present per their records.
Employees at another location allegedly asked officers to “officially trespass” a man they previously kicked off the property. The workers said he would be recognizable by his use of foul language and “rasta hat.”
A woman wearing tie-dyed leggings reportedly went into a store and bought a bunch of mini bottles of alcohol, which she drank in the driver’s seat of a parked gray Honda Civic. When she finished, she went back inside to purchase more. A man in the passenger seat allegedly rolled a joint before the vehicle pulled out onto Glenwood Drive. Officers looked up her history and found she had three warrants.
A man in his backyard reportedly saw a woman run out of a house yelling, “Help,” before going back inside. He then heard someone screaming. Officers tried knocking on the door and calling with no answer.
A clean-shaven man wearing a blue backpack allegedly attempted to steal an airsoft gun that employees were able to get back before he left. An employee asked the Kalispell Police Department to tell him he was banned from the store.
A brown motor home was reportedly parked in a vacant lot overnight. An individual was ticketed and moved along.
Someone complained that a bunch of cars in a line were blocking the road. They also complained about vehicles “cheating the line” and wanted them moved to the “proper line.” Officers spoke with staff to work on traffic control.
Someone was suspicious when a vehicle parked and a man exited quickly.
