Anderson scores 19, Wildcats hold off Ronan

COLUMBIA FALLS — Columbia Falls’ Alihn Anderson scored nine of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, helping the Wildcats win a back-and-forth boys basketball game from Ronan Thursday, 59-53.

Jace Hill added 17 points and Cody Schweikert had 14 for the Wildcats, who saw Ronan hit five third-quarter 3-pointers — three from Ted Coffman — to surge into a 44-41 lead.

Coffman scored 16 points to lead the Chiefs (6-11 overall, 2-7 in the Northwest A), and Marlo Tonasket added 14.

Bryce Dunham pulled down seven boards for the Cats (13-3, 8-1 in league)..

THOMPSON FALLS — Wyatt Johnson poured in 11 second-quarter points, finished with 21 and led Bigfork past Thompson Falls in District 7-B play.

Johnson hit four 3-pointers for the Vikings, which wrapped up their regular season at 15-3 overall, 10-0 in league games. Eli Thorness and Nick Walker added 10 points each for Bigfork.

Jesse Claridge had eight points to lead the Bluehawks (7-7, 5-4), who trailed 27-6 at halftime.
