Guild presents dinner murder-mystery musical comedy

| February 9, 2023 12:00 AM

The Gypsy Theatre Guild presents “The Altos” a dinner theater musical comedy, murder-mystery over two weekends this month.

It’s like the “Sopranos” only lower. The dinner theater will be presented at 7 p.m. on Feb. 17-19 and 24-26 at the Kalispell Red Lion, featuring a traditional Italian dinner. There are lots of audience interactions, including a vote for who did it.

Meet the family that inspired it all. It’s Tony’s funeral (or is it?) and his wife Toffee has invited you to the wake. Nephew Chris warns that you should check your weapons at the door (and if you don’t have any, he has extra). Uncle Senior has a rigged dice game going, and Tony’s Ma, Nona, is well…just nuts. Tony’s shrink, Dr. Malaise is giving free analysis. Father Flip isn’t sure what he’s doing! But one thing is for sure, almost no one seems sad that Tony is gone and they certainly don’t seem happy once he’s discovered alive.

Evening performances are held at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 17, 18, 24, 25. Matinees will be 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19 and 26.

Single tickets are $55 or $300 for a table of six, for $5 dollar savings for each seat. All seats are "front row" as the patrons will be seated at a table facing the performance area with no other tables in front of it. It is highly recommended that tickets be purchased one week before the performance night. Due to catering limitations, there will be a $10 extra charge for tickets purchased less than a week before the performance date.

Tickets are available at www.gypsytheatreguild.com and must be presented for the performance. For more information, call 406-219-7401.
