Kalispell Planning Board to weigh two large residential developments
Two large housing developments are expected to come before the Kalispell City Planning Board at its Tuesday meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at Kalispell City Hall, 201 1st Ave. E. Residents can also attend via Zoom.
The board will be taking public comments and weighing a request from Timberwolf Ridge, LLC for annexation and residential apartment zoning of a development located at 605 Stillwater Road, which is at the intersection with Timberwolf Parkway.
The proposed development, called Timberwolf Ridge, would feature up to 400 apartment units spread among six buildings. The development also would include parking and open space on the approximately 20-acre plat of land.
The board also will consider a request from GKM Associates, LLC for preliminary plat approval for the second and third phases of development of their Spring Creek Park subdivision. The development is located southeast of the intersection of Three Mile Drive and West Springcreek Road, and sits on nearly 50 acres.
The subdivision would contain 22 lots, of which 18 would be for single-family housing. Of the remaining four, one would be set aside for commercial uses and the other three would become home to multi-family housing. The multi-family lots are anticipated to contain up to 464 apartments, according to the board’s agenda.
The agenda states that the proposed development is consistent with an existing Planned Unit Development overlay approved by City Council last March.
Also on the board’s agenda Tuesday is a request from the city to annex and zone a one-and-a-half acre property located at 850 Four Mile Drive. The city intends to use the land for a well site that would be part of the city’s water infrastructure system.
