Larson, Hellgate Knights hand Bravettes a loss

MISSOULA — Missoula Hellgate’s Chloe Larson scored 20 points and the Knights held Flathead to one third-quarter point in a 42-36 Western AA girls basketball win Thursday.

Kennedy Moore scored 18 points for Flathead, which fell behind 31-23 after three quarters and could catch the Knights, who avenged a 49-48 loss on Flathead’s court last month.

Maddy Moy added 10 points for the Bravettes (13-4 overall, 10-3 in Western AA games). Moore had six free throws in the fourth quarter for Flathead, but that was offset by Larson’s seven points in the period for Hellgate (10-6, 9-4).

Flathead completes the regular season with a 2 p.m. Saturday home game against Missoula Big Sky.
