Law roundup: Peeping woman allegedly looking for her dog
Confronted after supposedly peering through the window of a home, a woman told the resident she was looking for her dog. The resident, assuming she was homeless, told her to get off his property and contacted the Kalispell Police Department to investigate. He called dispatchers again roughly three hours later and asked to speak with a supervisor as officers had failed to give him an update on their investigation. Authorities informed him they were unaware he wanted a call back and apologized for the confusion, saying they were unable to locate the woman. At that, the homeowner deemed them “worthless” and hung up.
A man warned authorities that his brother, who was on probation, was threatening him. He offered video evidence to back up his allegations. Officers advised him to apply for a temporary restraining order.
The continued presence of a woman snooping around on private property was getting to an area homeowner, who told authorities that “one of these days she’s going to get shot.” The homeowner asked officers to ban the woman from returning to her property if they caught up with her.
Officers were called to the scene of a local shopping plaza for a report of a man yelling and screaming in the parking lot. An employee with the property management company asked police to deal with the boisterous man after he allegedly threatened his boss.

Police responded to a shopping center at the behest of security personnel who said a pair of men in hoodies got aggressive when asked to leave the property. The security guard just wanted to make sure the pair had moved along.
Another security guard called police after spotting a blue Chevrolet parked on a sidewalk. They wanted officers to ban the vehicle’s occupants, if found, from the property.
A resident told authorities he was the victim of a scam about a year ago. The scammer, they said, had recently gotten back in touch.
A property owner asked police to run extra patrols near his parking lot to deter motorists from performing donuts. He told officers it was an ongoing problem and mostly occurred overnight on weekends. The would-be stunt drivers were causing damage to the property, he said. Police recommended he put up no trespassing signs and agreed to run extra patrols through the neighborhood.
An ex-boyfriend allegedly stole a woman’s bank card and several checks.
