Valkyries win Western B title

ANACONDA – The Bigfork Valkyries easily won the Western B girls divisional title Saturday with a 63-30 win over Loyola and finish the season 23-0.
Loyola falls to 16-7 and will play Anaconda in a challenge game on Monday. Anaconda ended up third after defeating Florence, 48-46. Neither team faced each other in the tournament, necessitating the challenge game.
Anaconda also beat Thompson Falls 52-39 earlier Saturday.
Bigfork 63, Loyola 30
Braeden Gunlock led the Vals with 18 points, and sister Paeten hit five three-pointers for 17. Bigfork led the Breakers 25-17 at the half and continued to pull away, outscoring Loyola 25-11 in the final frame
Ora Lindauer scored 10 for the Breakers.

Larkin Galle put up three treys for the Copperheads for 12 points and Maniyah Lunceford led the team with 16 points including going 12 for 14 at the free throw line.
Anaconda led 30-22 at the half and outscored the Falcons 25-16 in the second half.
Florence’s Trista Williams scored 10 points.

The Copperheads cruised to their consolation semi win over Thompson Falls behind Meela Mitchell’s 17 points. Larkin Galle added 14 and Maniyah Lunceford had 13.
Ellie Baxter put up 16 points for the Blue Hawks.
