Alton double-double helps Wildkats roll
COLUMBIA FALLS — Hope McAtee scored 14 points and Emalee Alton had a double-double to lead Columbia Falls over Libby 65-26 in a Northwest A girls basketball game Thursday.
Alton had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildkats (4-2 overall, 1-1 in league), who opened up a 35-15 halftime lead in their first home game of the season.
Taryn Borgen added 13 points for the Kats.
Ellie Andreesen led the Loggers (1-5, 0-3) with 11 points.

TROY — Braeden Gunlock poured in 25 points — 17 during a dominant first half — to lead the Bigfork Valkyries past Troy in District 7-B girls basketball play Thursday.
Gunlock hit three 3-pointers and led four players in double figures for the Vals (7-0 overall, 4-0 in league games). Paeten Gunlock added 15 points while Ava Davey and Maddi Chappuis had 12 each.
Brooklyn Reid led Troy (0-7, 0-4 in league) with six points.
