The Glacier Wolfpack boys wrestling team racked up seven pins in nine contested matches Tuesday, swamping Missoula Big Sky 66-9 in a dual.

Joshua Melton, Teegan Vasquez, Korbin Baldwin, Kaleb Shine, Cody Vergeront, Noah Horn and Colton Vergeront all won by fall, capping an evening that saw the Wolfpack girls prevail as well, 18-9.

“What a really special night for the program, starting with our JV all the way through varsity boys, and girls,” Glacier coach Ross Dankers said. “Everyone was on the attack and aggressive, hitting the techniques we have been teaching and practicing.

“It was our youth night, and to see over 60 youth wrestlers stand next to our high school student athletes with pride to be future Wolfpack wrestlers was pretty special.”

Glacier’s next action is the Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic, which begins Friday and concludes Saturday in Missoula.
