David Everett Smith, 72

David Everett Smith, 72, of Kalispell, passed away on Jan. 12, 2023, at Logan Health Medical Center. David was born in Kalispell on July 22, 1950, to Richard Charles Smith and Juanita Claire (Johnson).

Dave was raised and attended school in Kalispell, graduating from Flathead High School in 1969. He met Linda Thompson at an Echo Lake party and the two were married on July 28, 1972. Linda survives Dave at the family home.

Dave served in the Army reserves and worked at Columbia Falls Aluminum Company (CFAC) for 30 years. He loved to fish and was a friend of Bill W. for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his life partner Linda Thompson Smith; son Chad (Jami) Smith; grandsons Bridger and Hunter Smith of Kalispell; and brother Rick (Adrienne) Smith of Polson.

A celebration of life will be held at 9:30 on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Kalispell Alano Club, 153 North Meridian Road, Kalispell. Donations to Dave's Memorial Fund will go to the Alano Club.
