Joani Thomas, 72

We mournfully announce the passing of Joani Thomas, 72, who passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Joani was born in 1950. Joani was a force to be reckoned with from the get-go. She was often described by people who knew her throughout her life as a “hoot.”

Joani graduated from Williamsburg High in 1968. Shortly after, she married her high school sweetheart Paul Hathaway and they had two children together, Mark and Laura. Joani later went on to get her B.S. in accounting from the University of Arkansas. She worked in the field until finally retiring a few years ago. She enjoyed her retirement years with her beloved husband, Wayne.

Services will be held at Darlington Funerals on Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. mountain time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Humane Society of Northwest Montana or Wings Regional Cancer Support of Kalispell.
