No. 29157 INVITATION TO BID City of Columbia Falls, Columbia Falls, Montana Hilltop Sewer Main Replacement and Lift Station 5 Rehabilitation Sealed Bids for construction of the Hilltop Sewer Main Replacement and Lift Station 5 Rehabilitation Project will be received at the City of Columbia Falls City Hall, 130 6th St W, Columbia Falls, MT 59912, until 2:00 PM local time on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, and then publicly opened and read aloud. The Project includes the following Work: Hilltop Sewer Main Replacement Installation of approximately 1,644 lineal feet of 12-inch diameter gravity sewer main, re-paving Grace and Beth Road (from south of intersection of 13th Street West with Grace Road to south intersection of Beth Road and Martha Road), placement of crushed base from intersection of Beth Road and Martha Road to intersection of Beth Road and Bethany Road, and replacement of disturbed landscape from the end of Beth Road to Talbot Road (through Horine Park) following installation of the sanitary sewer gravity main and service line connections. Lift Station 5 Rehabilitation Replacement of the Lift Station 5 submersible pumps with new submersible pumps, replacement of force main piping, new valve vault with associated valves and piping, and appurtenances necessary for a complete system. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Original bid copies must be submitted; no faxed or electronic bids will be accepted. CONTRACTOR(s) and any of the CONTRACTOR’s subcontractors bidding on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). CONTRACTOR’s are required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR(s) or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of the State of Montana in accordance with the schedule of Montana Prevailing Wage Rates established by the Montana Department of Labor and Industry included in the Project Manual. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to City of Columbia Falls, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Construction Performance Bond and a Construction (Labor and Materials) Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of the Bids specified above. The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60), and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the City of Columbia Falls.
