Wildcats beat Pirates, again
COLUMBIA FALLS — Jace Hill scored 21 points and Columbia Falls pulled away over the final five minutes Saturday to beat Northwest A rival Polson 64-48.
Alihn Anderson added 12 points and Cody Schweikert had nine points and nine rebounds as the Wildcats (11-3 overall, 6-1 in Northwest A games) beat the Pirates (6-8, 4-3) for the second time in three days — by nearly identical scores.
Jarrett Wilson and Cymian Kauley scored 10 points each for Polson, which scored the first five points of the fourth quarter to draw to 49-46.

BIGFORK — Ethan Stack scored 17 points and Reynolds Johnston added 14, and Missoula Loyola pulled away from Bigfork for a non-conference win.
Johnston scored eight points in the fourth for the District 6-B Rams, who hit 10 of 11 free throws in the period. Noah Haffey hit two threes and added 10 points for Loyola.
Isak Epperly hit three 3-pointers and tied Nick Walker for team high with 13 points for Bigfork (11-3).

POLSON — Jace Hill scored 15 points to lead three Columbia Falls players in double figures, and the Wildcats made hay in the second and fourth quarters of this Northwest A battle.
The Wildcats (10-3, 5-1 in league games) forged a 31-27 halftime lead and then used nine fourth-quarter points from Hunter Goodman — Goodman scored 14 off the bench — to clinch the win.
Cody Schweikert added 13 points for Columbia Falls.
Jarrett Wilson scored 16 points for Polson (6-7, 4-2), 11 coming in the first quarter. Trent Wilson added 11 for the Pirates, who travel to Columbia Falls Saturday, to make up a game postponed on Dec. 22.

LAKESIDE — Michael Bartel scored 25 points, Sam Hoback hit a pair of fourth-quarter 3-pointers and Flathead Valley Home School rallied to beat Stillwater Christian 63-60 in overtime Thursday.
Hoback scored eight of his 11 points in the fourth period as the Crusaders fought back from a 48-34 deficit. Bartel scored seven points in the frame and Kolten Williams hit a three in OT for FVHS.
Max Gwynn also scored 11 points for FVHS.
For Stillwater Christian, Luke Frampton scored a game-high 28 points, to go with four assists and four steals. Isaac Shawback snared 12 rebounds to go with eight points, and Marcus Strobel had 10 points for the Cougars.
