Vandals hit Foy's Lake dock, restrooms

Local authorities are investigating vandalism at a Kalispell area park that occurred Tuesday evening.
A dock at Foy’s Lake Park was vandalized sometime during the evening, according to information from Flathead County.
The vandals broke the welds and undergirding of the dock, allowing pieces of it to float across the lake. The vandals also targeted the restrooms at the park. Windows were found broken, and debris from lit fireworks and a concrete parking barrier were set on top of the restrooms.
Flathead County Parks and Recreation was alerted to the incident and on Wednesday were working to retrieve and repair the docks.
The county asked that people avoid the lake and dock areas Wednesday.
The Flathead County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
“Foy’s Lake is a fairly populated area, especially during the summer,” the county statement ready. “Our hope is that someone heard/saw the incident, maybe captured it on a security camera, and will report it to the Sheriff’s Office or Parks and Recreation.”
