Law roundup: Person concerned about child’s front row seat
Someone voiced concerns to the Kalispell Police Department about a child’s safety when they reportedly saw the kid crawling on his mother’s lap in the front seat of a GMC truck and he had his head against the windshield.
About 10 people allegedly got into a yelling match and were throwing things at each other when a woman sprayed another woman with pepper spray. The combative woman was taken to jail for assault with a weapon.
A gas station’s panic alarm reportedly went off when an aggressive woman wearing a blue scarf and jean jacket began pounding on the windows and eventually left on foot.
Not very long after, police received a call about a curly haired woman wearing a jean jacket who was allegedly hitting a vehicle window with a bottle at a gas station. She was taken to jail.
A resident, who reportedly experienced a recent theft, was nervous about a couple living in their car. She said the car was there the previous night, when she left for work and told officers she could still see them from her security camera and the man was only wearing boxers.
A man called officers from a coffee shop very upset about an alleged assault and was using many obscenities and threats rather than sharing more information with dispatchers. Responding officers were unable to substantiate any crime and determined the man was having a mental health crisis. Although he didn’t meet the criteria for an involuntary committal, he requested police stay at the scene and help facilitate getting him connected with a social worker. The man had calmed down when a social worker responded.
People were reportedly having sex on the front porch of a park building but they didn’t look close enough to get a description or to count how many people were involved. Officers made contact with several people, one of whom, was lying on the sidewalk and advised them of new rules.
Children around the ages of 10 or 11 were allegedly pointing an Airsoft gun at a woman and harassing her until she said she was calling the cops. She called officers hoping for long-term and short-term solutions that would not cause friction with her neighbors.
A woman wearing black yoga pants and a black top reportedly went to a construction site and stole a couple of Milwaukee saws while workers were taking a lunch break. She allegedly ditched the tools in a bank parking lot. The tools were returned.
An employee called the police after allegedly finding items on a school porch indicating someone may have been sleeping there and wanted to know what they could do to ensure that wasn’t occurring.
A business owner allegedly asked officers to move along a woman sleeping on the sidewalk.
A man was reportedly cited and released for check fraud.
