Dixiedorcas Beasleyloving, 82
Dixiedorcas Dare Beasleyloving was born Jan. 1, 1941, in Richmond City, Virginia. She died July 14, 2023.
DD, as she preferred to be called, lived a modest life in Virginia, then moved to Kalispell around 1998, in her late 50s. She had many acquaintances who helped her get settled, and she enjoyed several houses and apartments while living in the community. She was a woman of quiet faith, who was extremely resourceful, resilient physically and emotionally, strong of character, and self-reliant.
She could build a fence, learned to drive a truck, and make minor household repairs. She also enjoyed walking daily and trekked north to south, east and west exploring all of Kalispell with enthusiasm and purpose. She particularly enjoyed shopping, was always on the lookout for the best deals, a true value shopper. She was an eager learner, always interested in any new idea or topic, or item, and taught herself computer skills in her mid-60s! She was fascinated with how “fast” they worked, and her shopping expanded into searching the internet. Those who knew her enjoyed her delightful humor and her appreciative attitude for help of any kind. Animals, especially dogs, were her special love, and she cared for many over the years. She walked them, played with them, and introduced them to various places around town, as they were her family.
As she got older and needed more support, she took her last dog, Friend, with her to her final home in Eureka. Staff and residents there welcomed both her and friend with open arms and hearts, and gave her a very peaceful, happy, and comfortable home in which to live out her days.
No one will ever forget her very distinctive name, which perfectly announced her vibrant, distinctive, and enjoyable personality to the many that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her brother, Theo Loving of Richmond, Virginia.
