Laird S. Ayers, 61

Laird S. Ayers, 61, passed away on July 27, 2023. He was born in Billings, making him a fourth generation Montanan, and lived in the Flathead Valley for most of his life.

Several years ago, he took Jesus Christ to be his personal Lord and Savior, inheriting the right to enter the kingdom of heaven to live with his Lord eternally.

He loved Montana and all the outdoor life and opportunities it afforded. His great smile and ability to laugh at life, and his intense work ethic, mainly in his construction business, led him to be acquainted with so many people.

He and his wife Paula led a fairly private and personal ordeal with his cancer for over five years, and he tried his very best to battle it with dignity, strength, bravery and determination to beat the rotten disease. He leaves behind so many cherished family members and friends. He will be sorely missed.

A graveside memorial will take place at at 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, at Fairview Cemetery, 1205 Fairview Cemetery Rd, Columbia Falls, followed by an informal potluck from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. at Central Bible Church, 902 First Ave east, Kalispell.
