A father calling from Kalispell complained to deputies that a store employee refused to sell his son snacks and asked the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office if they were allowed to do that. The employee was reportedly kicking out all kids after the store received multiple reports of youths stealing. The irate parent said, “America is (expletive) up,” to a deputy who explained what rights people and businesses have in America, including refusing service. He disagreed, became angrier, vented and eventually hung up.

A woman called deputies with questions about a drug-sniffing dog allegedly alerting to drugs in her car while she was in Idaho. She wanted to know why a drug-sniffing dog would sound the alarm because she remained positive there are no drugs in her car.

A busy pug reportedly got to work digging underneath one side of a double privacy fence. However, the pug was far from free when it became wedged in the hole. A neighbor, who thought the dog owners were away for the weekend, hoped deputies would assist him in dislodging the distressed dog. Assistance wasn’t needed when the pug was rescued and reunited with its family.

A camper stored at a Columbia Falls location was reportedly one of several broken into and damaged.

Thirteen chickens and two roosters were reportedly attacked, with one left barely alive, by a heeler-type dog.

A man called 911, instead of the non-emergency phone number, to follow up with a theft report to add to the complaint that his chainsaw was missing.

Someone calling from Kalispell wanted to know why a helicopter was reportedly circling the area.

The owner of a black lab in Kalispell said the canine was allegedly “beat up by neighborhood dogs” and was at the vet.
