Law roundup: Creepy neighbors snoop through trash
A woman told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office she had “creepy neighbor issues” involving people reportedly going through her trash in Whitefish. She also thought the neighbors were drug dealers because people constantly went to the house for a few minutes and complained about vehicles parking on her property.
Someone was concerned about the health of dogs people were allegedly selling at Smith Lake because the canines were skinny and smelled of feces.
Chickens reportedly kept going onto a neighbor’s property in Kalispell. The neighbor called deputies concerned about who would be at fault if her dog killed the chickens while they were on her property.
A Kalispell landlord allegedly began removing a tenant’s belongings but had not served them an eviction notice.
Someone calling from Kalispell claimed the county animal shelter told them to dump a cat they caught in a live trap on someone else’s property.
A Marion man allegedly let a woman stay at his house temporarily and wanted her gone after the second or third night. She left.

Deputies received a report of a slash-and-burn fire reigniting near a house and someone needed help putting it out. A neighbor stepped in and the fire was extinguished.
