No. 29504 INVITATION TO BID PROJECT & OWNER: Cayuse Prairie Classroom Addition 897 Lake Blaine Road Kalispell, Montana 59901 Sealed bids will be received until 4:00 p.m. local time, publicly opened and read aloud after 4:00 p.m. local time by the Owner on June 21, 2023, at the Cayuse Prairie School District #10, 897 Lake Blaine, Kalispell, MT 59901. The bids must be submitted in a sealed manilla envelope and must be plainly marked "Bid for Cayuse Prairie Classroom Addition” and contain the name of the Contractor and the Contractor’s Montana State License Number and Class. Bids shall be submitted on the form provided with the Contract Documents. Contract Documents may be obtained at the cost of reproduction from Kalispell Copy Center, 2303 Highway 2 E, Kalispell, MT 59901, telephone (406) 755-5888. Contract Documents may also be viewed online at Flathead Valley Plans Exchange at flatheadplanroom.com. Contractors will be required to be a member of the exchange in order to view and download plans from the website. A bid guarantee of ten percent (10%) of the total base bid shall be submitted with each bid and shall be in the form of lawful monies of the United States, a cashier’s check or bank draft, payable to “Cayuse Prairie School District #10”, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by an acceptable surety. Said surety shall guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract and furnish good and sufficient Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of 100% of contract amount, within ten (10) days of the award, or said bid security check or monies are to be forfeited to the owner as provided by Montana Law. The Construction Contract Amount is subject to 5% retainage until final payment and 1% Gross Receipts Withholding Requirement (Contractors License Fee). A Pre-Bid meeting will be conducted on June 13, 2023, at 4:00 pm local time at the Cayuse Prairie School District #10, 897 Lake Blaine, Kalispell, MT 59901. It is strongly recommended that all bidders attend this meeting. Substantial Completion date is July 15, 2024. Contractor must comply with higher of either the Federal Davis Bacon Wages Requirements or Montana Prevailing Wage Rates on public improvements in Flathead County, Montana as ascertained by the Department of Labor and Industry, State of Montana. Each Bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex, national origin, familial or handicap status. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of the Bids specified above. Cayuse Prairie School District #10 reserves the right to waive any informality, irregularity, or defect in any bid, and to reject any/or all bids should it be deemed in the best interest of the owner to do so.
