Signing set for latest book in suspense thriller series
Former Kalispell resident and author Stan Bain returns to the valley to sign the latest book in his “Contractor” suspense thriller series.
“Contracting Requires Details to Execute a Mission,” is the second book in a fictional series about a general contractor and former Marine sniper named Jim, aka “Boss,” who oversees a team of trained assassins operating out of Nevada.
The book picks up with the team regrouping after losing members, and embarking on assignments in Scotland, Ireland and South America. Jim’s future becomes questionable when he leaves the team after learning his wife has become a victim.
The book signing will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 9 at The Bookshelf, 101 S. Main St., Kalispell.
Bain, a Kalispell native, is an Army veteran of the Vietnam War currently living in Florida. He’s written about his Vietnam experiences and PTSD in “You Are Never Alone” and “Return to Vietnam.” He also published a book about his 15-year post-retirement job playing Santa at the Kalispell Center Mall, titled “Being Santa — Santa’s Secrets.” The first book in the “Contractor” series is titled “It’s not Always About Building.”
