A resident was suspicious that a man on a bicycle was another “shady character” allegedly leaving a “drug house.” They wanted the Kalispell Police Department to check around the area because they had noticed the amount of “shady people” was increasing.

Someone called the police from the Chamber of Commerce office when a man and woman reportedly began fighting and wrestling each other on the ground. Things escalated when one person was seen in a choke hold. Officers issued them citations. Both reportedly had previous disorderly convictions in another state.

Teens in an older Ford SUV reportedly yelled racial slurs at someone who thought the youths were drunk because they were slurring their words. Officers spoke with the registered owner of the vehicle.

A couple was moved along after they allegedly had been passed out on the grass all day with a dog locked in a crate.

An officer issued a citation for theft and released a woman for stealing yogurt and laundry soap. They told her she could not return to any store locations in the valley.

Transients reportedly approached two pedestrians and were “being nasty,” according to a passerby who asked police to do extra patrol around the area.

A welfare check was requested for a man dressed in blue scrubs who was reportedly using a walker to venture around a whole building throughout the morning.

Later on, officers received another call about a man wearing a blue hospital gown who was walking into the street.

A familiar face reportedly returned to a store to steal sodas from a machine and an employee told police this was the second time it had happened. The bearded man gave the items back when they confronted him, but they wanted officers to tell him he could not return to the property. He said the man was riding a bicycle with pegs and was wearing a "flat hat" and brownish coat and didn’t seem to be “all there,” yet didn't know if he had been drinking.

A business complained about a van parked overnight at the location and the occupant was littering. The manager of a neighboring business said the van had permission to park on the property because the occupant was an employee.

A woman with a partially shaved head and pink hair allegedly dropped a puppy and pushed it with a stroller. An officer advised her to be more careful handling the very small puppy because it was still learning how to behave.

A woman wearing a gray coat and Crocs reportedly couldn’t stay away from a building and was cited for trespassing and released.

A man, about 40 years old, was allegedly outside playing loud music and became aggressive when another tenant confronted him about it and the man was heard breaking something. A tenant told officers others in the building were scared of him and they had several “non-friendly” run-ins with him.
