Four dead in Kellogg shooting
Police in Shoshone County are investigating a shooting that left four people dead in Kellogg.
“The suspect has been detained and there is no threat to the community,” said the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office on its Facebook page Sunday evening.
The Sheriff’s Office reported on social media that Kellogg Police and Sheriff’s Office personnel responded around 7:30 p.m., June 18 to a Kellogg residence where they found four dead from gunshot wounds.
The incident reportedly occurred at the multi-dwelling units behind Mountain View Congregational Church on Cameron Avenue.
Kellogg Police Department and Idaho State Police are the primary investigating agencies.
“They will release more details as the investigation continues,” said the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office Facebook post.
The names of the victims and the suspect were not released as of press time Sunday.
