In its Application, NorthWestern proposes the following adjustments to its natural gas rates: * An increase in residential natural gas supply rates from the current $0.215177 per therm to $0.287153 per therm. * An increase in general service natural gas supply rates from the current $0.215848 per therm to $0.287824 per therm. * An increase in firm utility natural gas supply rates from the current $0.217547 per therm to $0.289523 per therm. According to NorthWestern, the proposed rates would result in an increase for a typical residential customer using 65 therms per month of $4.44 per month or $53.28 per year. This would result in an overall increase of 9.06% on the total bill. NorthWestern proposes the rates become effective on an interim basis on July 1, 2023.
