WHITEFISH — Sam Hall and Tristan Butts took turns throwing dominant games on the hill, and the Glacier Twins swept an A Legion doubleheader from Missoula Wednesday, 11-1 and 4-1.

In the opener Mikey Glass and Jake McIntyre each had three hits and three RBIs; Mcintyre hit a run-scoring double in the third inning and added a 2-run triple in the sixth.

Kellen Kroger and Tristan Butts both added two hits and two runs scored, and Butts had three of the Twins’ eight steals. Glass and Butts hit RBI singles in a 3-run first inning that gave Hall all the support he needed on the hill.

Hall threw a 6-inning 2-hitter, allowing four walks and one unearned run. He had four strikeouts.

In the second game Butts threw 6 2-3 innings, allowing four hits, one walk and one earned run. He also struck out four, and helped his cause with a double in the third inning that scored Kroger and Stevyn Andrachick for a 2-0 lead.

The A Mavs actually outhit Glacier 4-3, but the visitors had four errors, one coming in the Twins’ 2-run sixth inning.

Maddux Muller recorded the final out for a save for the Twins (11-1), who head to Helena today for the Cloninger Classic that begins Thursday.
