Law roundup: Gym patron not working out
The behavior of a male gym member left other patrons feeling uncomfortable, prompting an employee to contact the Columbia Falls Police Department. The employee told officers that a woman working out at the facility reported the man making several unwelcome comments to her. Authorities suggested she cancel his membership and bar him from returning to the property. The employee said she likely would wait until he left and then call him to inform him of the change in his membership status.
Someone tossed a shot put-sized rock through the double-paned window of a Ninth Street home. The homeowner told authorities they suspected the rock got thrown in the early hours of the morning. They did not see anyone around and could not provide any information regarding suspects.
A caller asked that officers try and coordinate with authorities in Lake County or Polson to retrieve her phone. She felt uncomfortable trying to get it back herself.
A resident newly returned to Columbia Falls asked the police to end extra patrols around their home.

A caller reported giving out personal financial information over the phone in what she now believed was a scam. Authorities advised her on how to handle scammers going forward. The woman said she had not sent any money and did not plan on transferring any funds.
Officers were asked to check in on a man in a sleeping bag in the entryway of the post office. The person reporting the sleeping man was more concerned that he was not moving than his present location.
Police warned a motorist for failing to have their lights on.
A motorist turned a dog with no tags or microchip found wandering near West Glacier over to police, who handed it off to the county shelter.
Officers investigated a report of a stolen phone case from a local supermarket.
Authorities pulled over a motorist for displaying inactive license plates on their vehicle. When the motorist explained they had just purchased new plates by showing them to the officer, they were reminded that the plates needed to be affixed to the vehicle.
