| March 8, 2023 12:00 AM

Sharron Kay (Kirkland) Brearey, born June 25, 1944, completed her journey to Heaven on Feb. 27, 2023. Her husband of 62 years, Howard Louis Brearey was at her side.

Her parents, John and Lloyda Kirkland, were waiting for her at the Pearly Gates.

Sharron has two brothers, Dennis Kirkland (Colleen) and Danny Kirkland (Kay); five children, Carolyn Bentley (Dan), Debbie Brearey, Laurie Haven (Craig), Tami Cummings (Scott) and Michael Brearey and Stephanie.

Sharron and Howard were blessed with 12 grandchildren: John, Kristofer, Taylor Shay, Kaylee Jo, Chelsea, Ariel, Bailey, Jordan, Ashlynn, D.J., Kathleen and Kailie.

The family multiplied to 16 great-grandchildren: Ariah, Jude, Hunter, Imogen, Oliver, Inara, Mckenzie, Hutch, Jazmyne, Jayden Ryker, Hank, Faith, Ezekiel, Jaxton and Maverick.

Sharron grew up in Hartline, Odessa and Spokane. She was married at 16 to Howard, active in USAF, and then went on to live in Canada, Spokane, Germany, Ohio, Italy, New York and then back to Spokane. They moved to Kalispell and said they loved it and did not want to ever move away.

Sharron was very active in her children’s lives as room mother, PTA attendee, organized summer field trips for any child that was signed up while living in Italy, went to all sports games, band concerts, choir concerts, plays and anything else the kids were involved in.

Over the years, Sharron also was president of NCO Wives Club, secretary at Gun Club, Red Cross volunteer, loved being a hostess at Hardee’s and Wendy’s and blew us all away when she became a computer geek at Stream.

Sharron was very involved in church. She loved singing at any time, was substitute church secretary, president of Ladies Fellowship, organized prayer chain, cooked for church dinners, organized dinners to be brought to the ill, would go to the hospital and wait while friends had surgery and was the best cook around ... whether it was cooking for two or 200!

Sharron liked to read, do ceramics, scrapbook, make cards, write poetry and spend time with family and friends.

Sharron was much loved and will be greatly missed. Welcome to Heaven’s Angelic Choir Sharron!
