Voting open for sticker design scholarship contest

Two student-created sticker designs are in the running for a chance at scholarships.
Flathead High School student Hannah Davidson’s and Glacier High School student Fiona Fuller’s sticker designs are among 20 finalists in the scholarship contest organized by Reach High Montana. More than 400 designs were submitted this year, according to a press release from the nonprofit.
The public is invited to vote on their favorite design through March 15. The top two students will receive $1,500 scholarships. Third- and fourth-place winners will receive $1,000 scholarships, and fifth and sixth place will win $500 scholarships. This year, a Judges Choice Award will be given along with a $500 scholarship. The high school art programs associated with each winner will also receive $250 to purchase art supplies or equipment.
The contest was open to ninth- through 12th graders. Entries had to include original artwork and words meant to “inspire Montana students to find their path after high school” with the colors blue, green and yellow incorporated into the design and feature the nonprofit’s website address. Davidson’s design features a bear hiking through a forest with the phrase “Find Your Path.” Fuller’s design features a silhouetted backpacker reaching up to an open palm that is decorated with the night sky and the phrases, “Reach for the Moon, Find your Path, and Reach Higher.”
The Design-A-Sticker, Win-A-Scholarship Competition is part of Reach Higher Montana’s efforts to help students use their creativity to access resources to continue their education.
