Jack Mullins, 76

Jack Mullins, 76, passed away on March 7, 2023, after losing a brief battle with cancer. He was born in West Virginia in 1946, to parents Kenneth and Dainty Mullins.

He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1966 and served his country in various locations including Washington, Guam and Alaska. Jack came to Montana in 1970, opening an auto repair business in Whitefish and continued his career for 40 years. His passion was rebuilding engines in his hot rods and soon became the "go to guy" for advice on getting better performance from cars. He enjoyed NASCAR, snowmobiling, camping, traveling the back roads of Montana and a good game of pool.

Jack is survived by his wife, Darlene; daughter, Christine and son, Derek (Kim); seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmie, Rick and Mike Mullins; and sister Sharon Vickers. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

The family gathered to celebrate his life and share special memories of Jack. He was certainly one of a kind who will be missed by his friends and family. No other services are planned per his wishes.
