Kalispell resident crowned Miss Montana USA 2023
Mady Rigg of Kalispell was crowned Miss Montana USA 2023 during a competition held in Lewistown on May 7.
Rigg competed against 14 other women for the title, being judged on personal interview, swimsuit and evening gown. She receives a prize package valued at over $40,000.
The 27-year-old Montana native works as the marketing manager for the Glacier Institute. A lifelong Flathead Valley local, Rigg studied communication at Eastern Washington University and served as a Collegiate Leadership Consultant for her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta after graduation. She’s an avid public radio listener, obsessed with long drives around the state on backroads, and soaking up the goodness of Flathead Lake all summer long. Over the course of her reign, Rigg hopes to be the best representative she can be for Montana by amplifying the stories and work of local nonprofits, encouraging community involvement and promoting responsible recreation.
Rigg also received the pageant’s Congeniality Award, voted on by her fellow contestants, and the Spirit Award, voted on by the pageant staff and volunteers. Next up for Rigg is the Miss USA pageant, at a location and date still to be determined.
Other finalists in the Miss Montana USA competition include Megan Brewer of Melstone, first runner up; Olivia Brown of Billings, second runner up; Cathlyn Hammond of Big Sky, third runner up; and Anoush Keuylian of Whitefish, fourth runner up.
