Law roundup: Dog injures itself chewing on vehicle window
A dog left in a black Explorer appeared to have broken a window and was reportedly chewing on it and bleeding. A passerby called the Kalispell Police Department but was able to track down the dog owners.
A woman lying on the grass and trying to sleep allegedly became upset with a boy who was flying a drone. The boy’s mother, who worked at the location, called the police, telling them she thought the woman appeared homeless and possibly had been drinking or was coming off of drugs.
Someone from Kalispell Parks and Recreation complained about vehicles reportedly driving on fields with greater frequency and damaging turf.
Someone who was allegedly getting ready to interview an employee saw she had a felony warrant and wanted to know if she would be arrested if they called during the interview.
Someone allegedly saw a blue car with its bumper taped up in a store parking lot that was posted on a social media site as stolen.
A man in a wheelchair was allegedly in the road by a median, panhandling, while the woman he was with sat in a car in the parking lot of a hardware store. They were advised of the city’s ordinance on panhandling.
A man reportedly kept getting in and out of a truck “looking sketchy,” according to a neighborhood busybody who told officers the truck was parked in a spot designated for guests and wanted officers to move him along if he wasn’t visiting anyone. Turns out, the man was visiting his grandmother.
A woman was allegedly yelling, screaming and throwing things into traffic. Officers made contact with a transient sitting on a bench and kicking and punching the air and determined no crime was in progress and no assistance was needed.
A woman wanted to dispose of a vehicle she purchased a few years ago but didn’t have the title and that’s what the recycling center wanted. She asked police for advice on how she could get rid of the vehicle since the previous owner had blocked her.
A man parked at an apartment complex was allegedly casing vehicles when someone saw him get out and go into a black van, where he had previously transferred a large dog bed to, that had since left. The person told officers he had cords stuck down his pants and ratchet straps.
Someone reportedly accumulated wallets people left behind and wanted to get rid of them so they called the police to pick them up.
A man and woman were allegedly having a heated discussion that someone couldn’t understand but told officers they were talking in an animated way.
