Bruce Carrell, 77
Bruce was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, to John and Marie Carrell. He was the middle child, having a sister and a brother.
His youth was spent hunting and fishing with his brother Gene and his dad. He also worked in their large garden with his sister and mom getting ready for the canning season. Bruce attended college in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, where he majored in history.
After graduation he enlisted in the Air Force. He was stationed at Fairchild in Spokane, Washington. He became a survival instructor where he trained air crew members during the Vietnam War. He also instructed at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs Colorado. After being honorably discharged, he went to work in the telephone communications industry. His telephone career lasted 30 years, 19 of those years were instructing at Alamon Telco Telephone School in Kalispell.
He had a snowplowing business in the Mcgregor Lake area where we live. People called him “The Mayor.” After retirement he started doing what he really wanted to do full time. That was hunting, fishing and spending quality time on the property he and Cindy owned. It was all parked out. They were seldom apart from one another.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughter, Lisa and her husband Troy; and two grandchildren, Jordan and Alexis. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon and her husband Gary Thompson. Also surviving is his brother, Gene and his wife Bettiann Carrell.
Bruce and Cindy were married 46 years. He will truly be missed by family and friends.
