Cecil John Rowe, 64

| November 3, 2023 12:00 AM

Cecil John Rowe, 64, lost his battle with cancer on Oct. 29, 2023 in Springfield, Oregon. He passed away peacefully with his wife Sherry by his side. He was born in Whitefish, Montana and lived most of his life in Columbia Falls.

He met his wife Sherry Sterna in Mandan, North Dakota, while traveling with a seismic measuring team in Aug. 1980. They married in Salmon, Idaho, on May 24, 1982. They spent a year travelling together working with the seismologist team before settling down in Mandan. They lived in Mandan until 1994 when they moved to Columbia Falls. In 2022, they moved to Eugene, Oregon to be close to their two grandchildren.

He was a good man; kind, caring, and fair. His biggest love was Sherry. He supported and cared for her in all their adventures. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and going for drives in the country. After retiring from WoodTech Door in 2016, he found joy in grocery shopping and cooking.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Sherry; his son, Cody Sterna (Kalena); and his grandchildren, Lydia and Harrison Sterna.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Arlene; and his siblings, Vicki and Curtis.

Cecil will be missed by his family and remembered by many more.
