Police investigate bomb threats at Kalispell and Columbia Falls grocery stores

Kalispell Police Department responded to a report of a bomb threat at a grocery store in the east north area of town at 9 p.m. Saturday.

The store was evacuated and officers and store management walked through the building. Nothing suspicious was found, according to a press release. Later, a store in Columbia Falls store also received a bomb threat with the same outcome.

There is currently no known threat to the public, according to the police department, but it remains an ongoing investigation.  

The police department said stores across the nation have received threats with similar, if not identical, details.
