Moultray signs with SMWC

Maddie Moultray, a standout pitcher and hitter for the 2023 State A champion Columbia Falls Wildkats, signed a national letter of intent to play softball at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana.
As a junior Moultray was the ace pitcher on a Wildkat squad that went 25-3 and claimed the program’s first state championship. She threw 124 1-3 innings, allowing 101 hits, 51 walks and 51 earned runs for a 2.86 earned-run average. She fanned 136 hitters.
At the plate she hit .489 with 15 doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 42 runs batted in.
Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods College is located in the town of the same name, and plays in the NAIA River States Conference.
The Pomeroys went 34-16 this past spring.
