Law roundup: Tools of the trade might be stolen

A man allegedly received a phone call from someone who said they bought tools from a man at a storage unit facility and noticed that many of the tools, which included a jackknife, belonged to him.

A man reported that a $200 Metabo nailer was stolen from his truck.

Later, the Kalispell Police Department received another call about tools stolen from a white trailer parked in a lot at a construction site.

A woman was allegedly worried about touching an abandoned microwave she found outside by her house because she thought there might be fentanyl inside it.

A parent who lived with their 46-year-old daughter called the police while she was reportedly throwing things around the house and trashing the place. The parent had enough of her ongoing problematic behavior to start the eviction process. Both parties agreed to separate. 

A woman spotted a man with her stolen bicycle and called the police to help her get it back. The bicycle was returned to her.

A teen driving a silver 2003 Subaru Legacy with four passengers was reportedly involved in a theft. 

A 15-year-old reportedly hit his 12-year-old half-brother in the groin and in the back of the head when he tried to instigate a fight. Both boys were counseled about the repercussions of partner and family member assault and were told to stay away from each other.

A 2-year-old was reportedly not properly restrained in a moving vehicle when she was seen sitting on her mother’s lap.

A passerby allegedly heard a woman sleeping at a church with a dog yelling for two men to get away from her. Officers contacted the woman who was OK and said there was a misunderstanding about the dog.
