Keim, Presley are MVPs; 13 Wolfpack first-team All-State
Isaac Keim and Jackson Presley swept the Western AA MVP awards, and were two of 13 members of the Glacier Wolfpack to be named first-team All-State for AA.
The Wolfpack, which lost 35-27 in the AA championship to Bozeman, saw Keim, a senior end, named the defensive most valuable player and Presley, a sophomore quarterback, claim the offensive award.
Glacier was also represented by: Aiden Krause on the defensive line; Kaleb Shine at linebacker; Carson Baker at nickel; Alex Hausmann at cornerback; and Kash Goicoechea at safety and kickoff returner on defense, and all-purpose on offense; Mark Ahner on special teams; Henry Sellards and Ben Winters at offensive tackle; Rylan Heil at guard; Cohen Kastelitz at receiver; and Kobe Dorcheus at running back on offense.
Dorcheus, a junior, rushed for 1,054 yards and 14 touchdowns this fall for the 11-2 Wolfpack. Kastelitz, a senior, had 1,249 yards and 13 TDs receiving. Presley threw for 3,053 yards and 28 scores. Goicoechea, a senior, had 1,186 all-purpose yards; three of his 17 TDs came on kick returns, where he averaged 44.4 yards on 11 returns.
Keim also was first-team long-snapper. In all, there 24 first-team selections on both offense and defense.
TJ Gannon was second-team All-State at center, but was first-team all-Western AA at the position. All of Glacier’s All-State picks were first-team Western AA, in fact; Sellards was second-team All-State at defensive tackle and first-team all-conference at that position.
In addition Glacier saw linebacker Jaden Dannic and corner Evan Barnes named second-team all-Western AA, as was Hausmann at punt returner, Rhett Measure at kicker and Krause at guard.
Flathead had one player named first-team All-State: cornerback Jordan Griffin. Griffin is believed to be the Braves' first sophomore All-State first-team pick since Brock Osweiler.
Two more Braves were second-team picks — senior Brody Thornsberry at all-purpose defense and senior Braden Capser at H-back.
Capser was first-team all-Western AA, as were Griffin and Thornsberry. Capser was also second-team all-conference at defensive end.
Flathead also had Morgan Youngblood named second-team all-Western AA at offensive tackle, along with Austin Schabel at both center and defensive lineman, Stephen Riley at nickel and Miller Bushnell at kicker.
The State AA MVPs both came from Bozeman: quarterback Kellen Harrison and defensive tackle Hudson Wiens.
