Whitefish wipes out Stevi, 62-14
WHITEFISH — Carson Gulick threw three touchdown passes and took an interception back for a score, providing just some of the highlights in Whitefish’s 62-14 Western A football win over Stevensville Friday.
Gulick was 19 of 28 passing for 232 yards, and was intercepted once. His scoring passes went to Jesse Burrough, Carson Krack and Mason Kelch, all during a 28-point, second-quarter outburst by the Bulldogs (3-4 overall, 3-3 in the Western A). Gulick threw to eight different receivers; Krack had three catches for 59 yards and Dane Hunt had five for 57.
Kelch added a third-quarter TD fumble return for Whitefish, offsetting one by Stevensville’s Gunnar Larson that had the Yellowjackets up 7-0 early.
Jesse Eisenbarth added a third defensive touchdown for Whitefish in the third quarter — a 57-yard interception return. In the fourth quarter Riley Zetooney took his only carry of the game 70 yards for a score.
Larson scored both TDs for Stevi (1-6, 1-6): He had a fourth-quarter scoring run.
